CE Marking (originally Conformité Européenne) demonstrates compliance with the appropriate manufacturing standard for a product. For CE marking steel and aluminium products have to comply with EN1090-1.
EN 1090 certification covers the assessment of the Factory Production Control (FPC) system including Welding Quality Management (WQM) procedures.Staco complies with all requirements and is therefore authorised to mark its steel and aluminium products with CE.
FPC is the abbreviation of Factory Production Control. The FPC – as part of CE marking - includes written policies and procedures about processes, implemented actions and as well as the maintenance and improvement of the performance. The FPC is audited by TÜV.
Including EN ISO 3834 is mandatory in EN 1090-1 CE marking as part of the FPC system’s scope. It is describes the quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials; this results in a Welding Quality Assurance. EN ISO 3834 is separately audited by TÜV.
The Declaration of performance is an official declaration of the product’s performance in terms of its essential product characteristics. It does not replace the certificate; both documents cannot exist without each other.
